We are the Friends of Lang-Carson Park.
Together, we make our vision for Lang-Carson Park a reality.
In 2018, a passionate group of neighbors united to forge a vision – to transform Lang-Carson Park into a vibrant community haven for all to enjoy. Two years later, Park Pride awarded the Friends of Lang-Carson Park a $130,000 matching grant to help fund the renovation of the Manigault Street Playlot. In 2022, we completed ‘Phase 2’ of park improvements with the support of our second matching grant from Park Pride and generous contributions from neighbors and friends. View the Lang-Carson History and Lang-Carson Park Timeline to learn more about our park prior to 2018.
Today, we are actively raising funds for Phase 3: Playstructures.
Thank you for making our park improvements possible. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
Select ‘Lang-Carson Park’ from the dropdown menu on Park Pride’s website.
Gifts of $250+ are recognized with an engraved message ($250 = brick; $1,500 = plaque; $10,000 = bench).
Volunteers from Friends of Lang Carson Park will reach out in the spring for your engraved message.

Vision Plan for Lang-Carson Park | 2019
Led by professional landscape architects on Park Pride staff and Reynoldstown residents with Friends of Lang Carson Park, the Lang Carson Park Vision Plan captures the year-long process and vision for our park, converting our community's park dream into a conceptual master plan that can be used as a blueprint to guide our park's development or redevelopment.
Our Guiding Principles
Prioritize beauty, safety, + cleanliness throughout the park, + a high standard of maintenance for existing structures + amenities
Promote health, play, + community building in all amenities, programming, and structures included in the park
Create a welcoming, safe, + accessible experience at entrances, inside the park, + throughout the community center
Prioritize neighborhood pedestrian access, including bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, etc., over vehicle accommodations
Prioritize the recreational and social needs of the Reynoldstown community, while also welcoming visitors
